The find incorporated a few antiquated burial places from the medieval times and a body-formed lead stone casket covered at the core of the fire-desolated landmark under the floor of the transept crossing.

“We revealed this large number of wealth only 10-15cm under the floor chunks. It was totally startling. There were outstanding pieces reporting the historical backdrop of the landmark,” said Christophe Besnier, who headed the logical group for the dig.
“It was an enthusiastic second. Out of nowhere we had a few hundred pieces from little parts to enormous squares including etched hands, feet, faces, structural adornments and plants. A portion of the pieces were still coloured.”The disclosure was uncovered by France’s public archeological establishment, Inrap, on Thursday. A group from the foundation was brought in to do a “preventive dig” under a part of the church floor among February and April before a 100ft-high 600-ton platform was worked to remake the landmark’s tower.
